Research

The Department provides exceptional policy support, outreach, extension and public education programs that address agricultural, environmental and natural resource issues of importance to stakeholders at the local, state, regional, national and international levels.  By achieving a strong integration between research and extension and a responsiveness to emerging problems, AREC faculty improve management and policy decisions and assist stakeholders in the analysis of current economic issues related to agricultural policy; coastal and marine resources; commodity marketing; farm and financial management; international extension; agriculture, natural resources, and the environment; land use and farmland preservation; sustainable agriculture; and water quality.
