On March 11, the Center for Agricultural and Natural Resource Policy sponsored the 2014 Maryland Crop Insurance Update webinar along with the Maryland Department of Agriculture and the USDA's Risk Management Agency. The webinar featured Dr. Gary Schnitkey, a professor and farm management specialist from the Department of Agricultural and Consumer Economics at the University of Illinois. The webinar featured 30 minutes of presentation and 30 minutes of question and answers from the audience. Producers and other professionals are encouraged to participate to determine if their current risk management plans are up-to-date before the sales closing date for spring planted crops on March 15.
