Winter Break Planning
During the Winter Break (December 23–January 3), staff support onsite will be limited. Ensure all critical requests, supplies, or needs are addressed before this time. A specific support calendar will be shared in the coming weeks to help plan accordingly.

  • December 11: President’s Holiday Open House (RSVP required, see email from 11/21)
  • December 17: AGNR Strategic Initiatives & Holiday Celebration (11:00 AM–2:30 PM, College Park Marriott)

January 2025

  • January 23: Department Retreat (Faculty/Students)
  • January 24: AGNR Deadline to Submit AEP Dossiers
  • January 29: Momentum Live (5:00–7:00 PM)

Spring 2025

  • April 8: Nominations for AGNR Awards Deadline
  • May 15: AGNR State of the College & Awards Program
  • Additional Calendars: University Academic Calendars (2025-2026 Approved calendar is available.

Workday is Live!
As of November 15, 2024, Workday replaced UMD's HR, procurement, and financial systems. Big shout out to the Business Office for leading us through this transition!  Check out the Workday FAQs document for quick guidance. Unresolved questions? Bring them to HR Daily Meetings.

New Year, New Goals!

  • Call for Promotion: Have research or projects worth sharing? Submit them here to publicize them through AREC or UMD platforms.
  • Engage with Students: Stop by 2200B to grab promotional materials (totes and stickers) to share AREC pride.

Requesting Admin Assistance

Admin Request Form

  • Facilities Requests: Any building or space needs, such as repairs or maintenance.
  • Supply Requests: Office supplies or additional resources.
  • Key Requests: New keys or replacements for department access.
  • News/Announcements: Submit updates for distribution to the department or university community.
  • Print/Design Needs: Request design services or printed materials.
  • Website Requests/Edits: Changes or updates to department web pages.

AREC IT Ticketing System:

  • Tracks and manages all IT issues, ensuring they are resolved promptly.
  • Offers an easy method for submitting problems such as computer malfunctions, software issues, or access difficulties.

Is the only form to use for technical assistance, separate from the Admin Request Form.
